We work with high school students in all grades; the earlier the better!

Conversations are different with Freshmen and Sophomores, but they're important. Topics in these earlier high school years include strengths and personality assessments, extracurricular choices, summer enrichment, strategic course selection, and personal goal setting. These conversations help inform the path that a student will take leading toward their college search, and help students get into the college-going mindset.

Then, with Juniors and Seniors, we work with college-bound students as they build their college list and strive to present the best possible college application. We are also available to discuss gap year programs, summer plans, or any other options that would match a particular student's objectives. This is when we work on research, organization, and empowering the student to move forward with knowledge and confidence.

"In one phone conversation, Beth was able to take my son's criteria and come up with two other
schools that we had not even considered. She was able to provide us with statistics and facts
about all of the schools that are not available through the sources we used.... We are now in
the process of sending in our deposit to the 'perfect' school. That school just happened to be
the top choice on College and Company's list for my child!” - SSHS Parent

"Thanks to College & Company, potential stress in our household was greatly reduced, and the college application process became a positive experience.  Beth takes the time to fully understand students as individuals, and that showed in the list of colleges that our daughter ultimately applied to. By working with College & Company, our daughter knew exactly what she needed to do, and how to present herself in the best possible light to Admissions offices. At the same time, I felt fully informed as a parent, seeing deadlines and to-dos in regular progress reports. Throughout the entire process, Beth was straightforward, yet encouraging. She guides, without taking over. This approach allowed our daughter to own her college admissions process, and to move forward with confidence."    - SSHS Parent
